ECHO deligates meet with Syrian refugee families in Amman.

 A representative from the ECHO, the main supporter of the JRC cash assistance program, and a representative from the JRC and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent paid a visit to Syrian refugee families that benefit from the program at the Al Qwesma Charity Society.

 

The cash assistance program is implemented by the JRC in collaboration with the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. The representative from ECHO engaged in dialogue with Syrian families in order to understand who was benefiting from the program and to discuss their hopes for the future for cash assistance.

 

The delegation also visited Syrian families benefiting from the program in the Abu Alanda area. There, the group was able to observe the reality of the living conditions of Syrian families, and learn about their basic needs.

 

2311 Syrian refugee families in the Southern and Eastern regions of Amman benefited from the cash support program in 2013-2014.  It is expected that 1339 families will be supported in 2015.
