Jordan Red Crescent’s center for community development holds “open day” festival for Syrian and local community families

The Jordan Red Crescent’s center for community development held an “open day” festival for Syrian and local community families this past Thursday. The event took place at the cultural village in Ajloun and was sponsored by the Danish Red Cross and the Italian Red Cross.

The Ajloun branch psychosocial support team volunteers saw to it that the event went smoothly and that the audience of approximately 1,000 enjoyed the experience.

The Festival which was attended by Mr. Sameer Sawa’ni (assistant to the governor of Ajloun) included many events such as singing and dancing Dabkah, as well as entertainment segments, competitions, and face-painting for the children.

Miss Nabiha Samardali, The head of the Jordan Red Crescent’s branch in Ajloun, delivered a speech at the conclusion of the event expressing gratitude to the sponsors, volunteers, and the audience and their children for being a part of the festival.
