Jordan Red Crescent Society's Organisational Development Department organised a visit to the Balqa Branch this week, attended by delegates from the Jerash, Karak, Tafila and Ma'an branches. The visit was designed to enable an exchange of experiences and ideas between the branches.
The delegates had the opportunity to see the humanitarian programmes and activities implemented by the Balqa branch, including information on how they are financing projects and creating partnerships with local community organisations.
Head of Organisational Development at the Jordan Red Crescent Society, Farah Al-Hadid, said that this visit was a great opportunity for the branches to build relationships. By sharing the challenges and difficulties each branch experiences, there can be creative, shared solutions, and more better capacity to address problems in the future.
A highlight of the visit was the opportunity for the branches to discuss funding opportunities for projects, which prompted many innovative and creative ideas from the delegation.
The visit finished with a visit to the King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein orphanage in Balqa, where the delegates were briefed on the activities and services provided.
