The JRC Center for Community Development and Psychosocial Support took Syrian refugee families in Amman to a tourist beach resort on the Dead Sea. The project was backed by the Italian and Danish Red Cross. 466 participants of all ages were able to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Dead Sea. The group enjoyed the use of tourist beach facilities and lunch on at the sea.
The participants expressed their happiness and gratitude to the center for providing them and their families with a break from the difficulties of day to day life. For many, the trip was mentally uplifting a real outlet for children to swim and play in an open environment. It also allowed Syrians to see a central Jordanian tourist attraction.
The JRC would like to give their thanks and gratitude to the volunteers and organizers who made the trip possible. The JRC Center for Community Development has become a distinctive organization in providing psychosocial support and entertainment to refugees living in Amman.
