The Jordanian Red Crescent Youth and Volunteer Unit has conducted a training course in life skills in Aqaba yesterday, sponsored by the Danish Red Cross.
The three-day course was attended by ten volunteers, and was aimed at familiarising them with life skills, facilitation skills, as well as preparing an action plan for activities.
Such life skills training sessions, which are conducted by the Youth and Volunteer Unit, provide critical skills for everyday living such as self confidence, communication skills, decision making skills, as well as promoting dialogue and critical thinking among the youth. This is achieved by preparing young people with the capacity to conduct these activities with the youth in their local communities.
At the conclusion of the training session, the volunteers and participants were given a certificate granted by the Head of the Youth and Volunteer Unit of the Jordanian Red Crescent, Miss Rania Suaifan.
